Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The Free plan is genuinely free — sign up with just your email and add unlimited dates. We only ask for payment if you upgrade or order a mailed card.
How does billing work for paid plans?
Plus and Concierge are billed once per year, up front — $19 or $79. No monthly drip, no surprise renewals without an email heads-up first. You can cancel anytime and keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for.
What happens to unused Concierge cards?
Your six included cards are good for the whole subscription year — use them whenever the occasions come up. They don't expire month to month, but unused cards don't roll over into the next year.
Can I buy mailed cards without a subscription?
Yes. Anyone — including Free users — can order a mailed card à la carte for $7.99, postage included. Plus members pay $6.99 and Concierge members pay $5.99 for extra cards beyond their included six.
What if I upgrade or downgrade mid-year?
Upgrades take effect immediately and we prorate what you've already paid. Downgrades take effect at your next renewal, so you keep everything you paid for. Your dates and reminders are never deleted, whatever plan you're on.
Is there a refund policy?
If a mailed card arrives late or damaged, we'll reprint and resend it or refund it — your pick. For subscriptions, write to hello@occasion.day within 30 days of a charge and we'll make it right.
